Laxmikant-Pyarelal, are celebrated as one of the most influential and successful composer duos in Hindi film music. They began their journey in the early 1960s as assistant music directors to Shankar-Jaikishan, before making their debut with the 1963 film Parasmani. Throughout their career, Laxmikant-Pyarelal adapted to changing musical trends without compromising their distinct style. In the 1980s, they embraced new electronic instruments, as seen in the hit soundtrack for Tezaab (1988), featuring songs like "Ek Do Teen". Their versatility allowed them to compose music across genres, from the romantic ballads in Bobby (1974) to the dance numbers in Ek Duuje Ke Liye (1982). The duo’s soundtrack for Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978) remains one of their most memorable works.
